Christy graduated from the City University of New York School of Law with honors. Licensed to practice law in both Florida and New York, she is also a certified county court mediator in the state of Florida. Christy has offices in Winter Park (just north of Orlando, Florida) and New York City.
Christy has experience working at boutique law firms in New York City that cater to filmmakers, musicians, athletes, and small business owners. She has also been published in the New York State Bar Association's Entertainment & Sports Law Journal (August 2012) and in the American Bar Association's Intellectual Property Journal, Landslide (November 2016).
In addition, Christy was appointed to Florida's Mediator Ethics Advisory Committee ("MEAC") in 2016, giving her a chance to promulgate ethical opinions on difficult situations mediators encounter. From July 2018 to June 2019, she serves as Chair of the committee. Moreover, Christy serves on the American Bar Association's ("ABA") Publications Review Board for Dispute Resolution manuscripts, where she reviews publications about mediation techniques.
Plus, Christy serves on Executive Council of the Florida Bar Association's Entertainment & Sports Law ("EASL") Association and serves as Vice Chair of the American Bar Association's Dispute Resolution Committee for Solo and Small Firms.
Christy has a background in television broadcasting, music and sports. She worked at multiple news stations (including MSNBC, NBC Olympics, and ESPN), plays various instruments (including piano and clarinet), and was a competitive figure skater in college. As a result, she understands firsthand the dedication you have to your craft - and how important it is to you.
